About The Barker Adoption Foundation

The Barker Adoption Foundation is a nonprofit adoption agency operating since 1945, with its headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland and satellite offices in Falls Church, Virginia and Washington, D.C. Programs include domestic infant adoption, international adoption, and older-child and foster-care adoption through Project Wait No Longer. The agency conducts home studies, counsels and supports expectant and birth parents through its Cradle Care program, and provides post-adoption mental health counseling. It also runs training programs for prospective adoptive parents and for professionals, and operates a 24/7 crisis pregnancy hotline. State license numbers are not published on the site.
