About Children's Home Society of North Carolina

Children's Home Society of North Carolina is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit child-placing organization headquartered in Greensboro, with offices in several other North Carolina cities and services reaching all 100 counties. It has operated for more than a century and reports over 17,100 completed adoptions. Its Infant Connections program handles domestic infant adoption, matching birth parents with adoptive families and helping birth parents build an adoption plan. The organization also places children from foster care, recruits families for older youth and sibling groups, provides contract adoption services, and delivers family preservation through the HOMEBUILDERS model. Post-adoption services include counseling, education, referrals, advocacy, confidential intermediary services and support group meetings.
